Vehicle Parking

Section 10.06.H.2

All open off-street parking areas containing four or more parking spaces shall be improved with a durable pavement consisting of not less than seven inches of water bound macadam base with a wearing surface of not less than two inches of asphalt or the equivalent. Parking areas for less than four parking spaces shall be improved at least with dust-proof surfacing.


Section 302.8.1

1. No vehicle having a gross vehicle weight in excess of eight thousand (8,000) pounds, buses, tow trucks, construction and contractor's equipment, materials, supplies and tools, including the trailers used to haul such items and snow plow blades, shall be stored or parked on any lot in any residence district, unless:

(a) such vehicle, equipment, supplies or tools are wholly enclosed within a building, or

(b) such vehicle, equipment, supplies or tools are being used in connection with a legitimate service actually being rendered for the benefit of such lot.


2. The outdoor storage or parking of more than one unoccupied taxicab, limousine, or any other vehicle used to transport individuals for hire, regardless of gross vehicle weight (GVW) or state license designation or more than one van or truck, having a first division or class B state vehicle license which is used for business or commercial purposes, is prohibited within all residential districts.


Section 302.8

Except as provided for in other regulations, no inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked, kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of major disassembly, disrepair, or in the process of being strip or dismantled.


Section 10.06.H.5

No motor vehicle repair work or service of any kind shall be permitted in conjunction with any parking facilities. No gasoline or motor oil shall be sold in conjunction with any accessory parking facilities.
