Parking in North Riverside

Overnight Parking:

Overnight parking is prohibited on any public street located within the Village of North Riverside between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of any day, except vehicles displaying a valid, legally obtained and properly displayed village vehicle sticker.  If you have overnight guests, please purchase and properly display a visitor overnight parking pass in order to avoid a parking ticket.  Any car parked overnight on the street must have either a village sticker or a daily visitor pass that is completely filled out with the date and it must be affixed to the vehicle’s driver’s side side window. Visitor pass books will be available for purchase during business hours at the North Riverside Police Department Records division or at the Village Hall.  The cost for a book of 10 visitor passes is $25.

72 Hour Parking:

It is unlawful for an owner of any vehicle to permit a vehicle to stand or remain parked in any single space on any public street located within the Village of North Riverside for a period of time in excess of seventy-two consecutive hours.  If you notice a vehicle parked in excess of 72 hours, report it to the Police Department by calling the non-emergency number, 708-447-9191.  We need your help so if you see something suspicious, do not hesitate to report it.  If we work together, we can keep the community safe.
