The North Riverside Police Department joined with several other local police departments to create a West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force (WESTAF), a non-for-profit organization. The goal of WESTAF is to combine the expertise and resources of several police departments to investigate the most serious of crimes within your community. In addition to the investigative aspect of the unit the task force also has their own Evidence Technicians, and accident reconstruction unit.
