Civil Unrest & SBA Loans

The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DECO) is working to provide the Small Business Administration (SBA) with information from small businesses and non-profits who have been severely impacted by the recent civil unrest.

The SBA can provide targeted, low-interest loans to small businesses and non-profits who have been severely impacted by the civil unrest if the county receives a disaster declaration.  In order for the SBA to issue a disaster declaration, businesses must first document their damages from the protests and looting.
